MODERN ART OXFORD
The West End home of Modern Art Oxford underwent a dramatic £250,000 facelift in early 2010. The redesign saw the creation of a new St Ebbe's Street entrance, which has brought a significant increase in footfall to the gallery. The ambitious scheme also saw the interior yard converted into a flexible social and creative space, bringing "the street into the gallery and the gallery into the street" and reinforcing Modern Art Oxford's role as a hub for contemporary culture in Oxford. The work was funded by a £630,000 grant from the Arts Council’s Sustain programme.
