SIMON HOUSE
Simon House is a 51-bed hostel that provides accommodation and support to rough sleepers and single homeless people in a 'dry' environment. The facility was fully refurbished in 2006 with a grant of £1.2m (allocated through the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister Hostel Improvement Programme). The refurbishment provided additional interview rooms, training facilities and a library as well as improvements to the kitchen, dining room, staff area and garden. The facility also includes a trade workshop where clients can enhance their opportunities to return to work by pursuing courses provided by Oxford and Cherwell Valley College.
