SAÏD BUSINESS SCHOOL EXTENSION (31)

Work on the £28 million extension to Oxford University's Saïd Business School, led by Chalegrove Properties, began in August 2010 and is expected to be completed in summer 2012. The extension, which was designed by architects Dixon Jones (who masterminded the original building) will allow the business school to expand its teaching and executive education activities. Several changes to the design were agreed following public consultation, including the north facade being set back two metres, additional cycle parking provision and a new underground car park.
The Business School has been actively involved since the earliest days of the West End Partnership, particularly around the redevelopment of Oxford Railway Station and Frideswide Square.
