A planning application for the £12m redevelopment of Pembroke College, one of the largest college schemes in Oxford,  was approved in mid-2010. Designed by award-winning architects Berman Guedes Stretton, the substantial West End development, located at Brewer Street and St Ebbe's, will extend the College’s main site to the south, providing a further 91 ensuite student bedrooms, flats for post-graduates, a new multi-purpose auditorium, a café and other facilities. The work is due for completion, subject to funding, in early 2013.
