COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The regeneration of the West End will only be successful with the support of the local community; we need your input to ensure it becomes an area in which you feel proud to live and work.

How can I share my opinions and suggestions?
The West End regeneration incorporate over 30 individual development sites and projects. Each project owner, landowner or developer will seek to encourage public feedback via consultation exhibitions, feedback forms and questionnaires, or through participation at workshops and meetings, giving you the opportunity to comment on development and influence decisions. Please see our Public Consultation Diary for sessions in the West End.

Central, South and West End Area Forum
Residents living in the City Centre, West Oxford, South Oxford and Jericho are invited to attend the Central, South and West Area Forum. The group meets on a regular basis to give local residents an opportunity to take an active role in planning the future of their area. Areas of interest range from public consultations and development plans to local heritage assets and community events. All residents are invited and meetings are attended by representatives of local community groups, city councillors and council officers. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 21st February at St Barnabas School, Hart St, Jericho, from 5:45 until 8pm. A list of the actions agreed at the last meeting are available here along with details of forthcoming meetings. For more information, contact the Communities and Neighbourhoods team on 01865 252791 or by email at communities@oxford.gov.uk.
West Oxford Matters
You may also be interested in attending a meeting of West Oxford Matters, a community-led planning group established in 2007. The group meets to discuss topics affecting West Oxford, providing a forum for the local people to voice their concerns and participate in planning the future of the area. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 22nd February, 2012, 7:00-8:30pm, at the West Oxford Democrats Club on North Street, Osney Island. The main agenda item is the planned redevelopment of Frideswide Square and Oxford Railway Station, and how this will affect neighbouring communities. All local residents are welcome to attend, and councillors and planners will be present to answer questions and participate in this important discussion.
West End Historic Context Study
Many thanks to all who volunteered for the West End Historic Context Study, a joint initiative of Oxford City Council and Oxford Preservation Trust. The information and evidence you helped provide will be invaluable in future decision-making within this important and distinctive quarter of Oxford.
Community exhibitions
The West End Partnership's community exhibitions give you the chance to find out more about the regeneration programme and to speak to officers who are working to shape the future of the area. Notice of any forthcoming events will be posted here well in advance of the date.
